Volatility returned in Nifty. We closed our trades and booked a minor loss

Today, Nifty began the day on a positive note, reaching 24,317 in the early morning session. However, profit booking began shortly after, accompanied by an increase in options volatility. By midday, Nifty had dropped 130 points from the day's high and is currently hovering around 24,180.

As mentioned in the previous blog, we were waiting for Nifty to reach either 24408 or 24184 to exit all our trades, and that moment finally arrived around 11:40 am. As shown above, we recorded a minor overall loss of Rs 12,473 (plus taxes, of course) this month when we exited at 23184. Since December 2025, this has been the only month where we've incurred a loss.

We are now anticipating the September series for new direction, ideally upward, starting from tomorrow, which marks the expiration of the August series. The spreadsheet above indicates that an opportunity will arise if Nifty closes above 24385 tomorrow. If this does not occur, we will need to wait for another signal to be identified by the end of tomorrow.

Cheers and happy trading.
